SICK THIS WEEKEND

For the past two weeks at work, my co-workers and I have been suffering from colds and influenza. Unfortunately, when my came turn came it extended to Memorial Day weekend. So instead of barbeques and booze, I've been sucking down NyQuil and Naked Juice. Oh well - at least I finally had the chance to see what all the fuss was all about with Downton Abbey. I laid in bed and watched both seasons for three days straight. So much outfit envy!

ETSY SCAVENGE: TERRARIUMS

ROUND OBJECTS

When it comes to grouping things together around the house, the first thing that I usually consider is shape. In this case, I chose round and bulbous vessels. The wooden object was a find from Etsy. I'm still trying to figure out what it is - pole holder? sandwich rest? Oh well, I still think it looks cool.

KEEPIN' IT ORGANIZED

Now that I'm no longer in my twenties, I feel like it's unacceptable to just shove loose papers into my bag. Not to mention extremely embarrassing when I pull out legal documents covered in tobacco confetti and purse dirt - total amateur adult move. This is when I realized I needed to get something professional and chic to solve my scrunchy paper woes. Cue Clare Vivier's Foldover Clutch and Ernest Alexander's Orange Zip Folio - two equally chic and equally sophisticated carryalls that say "Hire me - I keep my papers in check and I'm fashionable."

Whenever I miss California, Juniper Ridge seems to be the solution. Their products are comprised of aromatics from the mountains and deserts of the west.

I had been daydreaming about owning one of these moroccan poufs from West Elm. I'm so glad I bought one when I did because they don't seem to be offering them on the website any longer.
